During early 2006 three fields measuring over 25 acres and laying at the bottom of Copperkins Lane, Amersham (HP6) were sold to a land investor. This land represents the highest point of the parish of Chesham Bois, a manor which dates from the times of Edward the Confessor and is part of the Domesday Survey. Like elsewhere in the county, these fields were subsequently divided into smaller plots of land for sale to 3rd parties with the ultimate intention of applying for housing development. This is what we know about our plot and its environment and why we are determined to fight any change of use.

If you are thinking of buying one of these plots of land please contact us so we can answer any questions you may have and explain why we want to preserve this area. Alternatively, you can read the following document (click here) which has been published by Chiltern District Council in response to land investment in the area. It states “if the plot of land you are interested in is currently in the Green Belt it is likely to remain as Green Belt - in which case the strongest policies of restraint upon development will still apply”.
